Getting New Service…

If you are applying as an individual, sole proprietor in a business, or as a partner in a business, your social security number (SSN) is required by Jellico Utilities in order to activate your account and commence service, and the SSN may be used by Jellico Utilities for collection purposes if your account becomes delinquent. Under the Tennessee Public Records Act, social security numbers are designated as confidential, and as such Jellico Utilities cannot release your number to any person or entity.

APPLY AT THE JELLICO UTILITIES OFFICE

    1. Upon arrival at our office you will be asked to complete the appropriate Utility application for service. You can save time by printing the application below and completing it prior to your arrival.

  1. If homeowner, bring a copy of deed or tax receipt, septic and/or building permit (if applicable), and a copy of the state electrical inspection. A state electrical inspection is required if service has been disconnected for a year or longer on existing dwellings.

  2. If renting or leasing, bring a copy of your current lease or rental agreement along with the name and contact number for your landlord.

  3. If you are applying as an individual, sole proprietor in a business, or as a partner in a business, you will be required to furnish your social security number as shown on your social security card. We will also require one other form of photo ID (valid driver’s license, state issued ID, or military ID).

  4. If you are applying as an individual, please mark the appropriate box for what type of service you are applying for and whether or not the service is for business and/or rental purposes.

  5. If you are the authorized representative applying for a corporation/LLC, we will require you to furnish one form of photo ID (valid driver’s license, state issued ID, or military ID). We also require you to bring a copy of one of the following: corporate annual report filed with the Secretary of State, acknowledgement of corporation letter from the Secretary of State, or corporate charter stamped by the Secretary of State.

  6. Pay the required deposit(s) and/or fee(s).

Transferring Service…

  1. Contact Jellico Utilities.

  2. Pay the required deposit(s).

  3. If renting, bring a copy of your current lease or rental agreement.

Discontinuing Service…

  1. Call Jellico Utilities or come by our office.

  2. Provide your forwarding address.
