Jellico Utilities Authority was formed under the Tennessee Municipal Authority Act Title 7 Chapter 36 filed with the Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office on October 22, 2019. Jellico Utilities Authority is a municipality operating as an electrical power distributor, water and wastewater utility with principal office located in the City of Jellico, Tennessee. The city of Jellico is located about 58 miles north of Knoxville, Tennessee, in Campbell County. Jellico Utilities serves approximately 4,500 electric, 1,700 water, and 1,000 wastewater customers in portions of Campbell County, TN and Whitley County, KY (Electric Only).
Jellico Utilities Authority purchases its wholesale power from the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
